Sarthak is working with sincerity to provide children who were deprived of nutritious food, good living and their rights to live due to their family problems, to give them strong support and guidance to enjoy life and move towards future.
We give maximum emphasis on sports to sustain children as sports is a medium which gives good health to children by stimulating concentration and enthusiasm by pleasing the mind of children. Sarthak is trying to give a new lease of life to the children of the institution by preventing them from committing extraneous criminal tendencies, bad habits and misdeeds and bringing them into the mainstream of society to get the happiness and rights of their childhood. At the beginning of the Sarthak 30-35 children were run away or sent out by us from the Sarthak as their not willing to live a disciplined and decent life.
Unfortunately, 6 of them were died due to overdose of drugs or fights between themselves. 9- 10 of them were have a criminal background and frequently goes to juvenile jail. This unfortunate incidence makes a strong impact on us. We are forced to change our thinking. we are changed our focus we started giving priority to keep them alive. For this purpose, we find a path of sports to keep them intact in Sarthak. We also change our motto from “come- live- eat – play and save the mankind” from “come – learn- earn and serve the nation” .
We believe sports are important for inculcating discipline and team work within the children. Moreover sports teaches an important lesson - "how to digest defeat in games and ultimately in life". We have two football grounds, a proper cricket pitch with nets for season ball, three tables for Table Tennis, a volleyball ground, and a ground for Kabbaddi with red soil.
